That's the picture we would have sent you if we had sent out Christmas cards this year. This was our first Christmas with three kids and I will tell you the whole season was kind of a blur. Truthfully, being as wrapped up as we were with the littlest Ferguson made it a difficult to really focus on the season and traditions. Two highlights that stand out were taking communion for the first time as a family of five at the Christmas Eve service and having three kids on the living room floor on Christmas morning, even if one of those three was asleep the whole time.
Travis and I shared many laughs over our tree this year--you will notice there is not a single picture of said tree, the tree that Travis appropriately described as "Christmas meets Circus". The weekend before Lillian was born we decided to simplify this year and forgo our traditional live tree with white lights for a borrowed, fake, fiber optic tiny tree. It seemed like the practical thing to do at the time, but turns out practical led only to laughs rather than warm Christmas feelings. Oh well. We'll make up for it next year.
Here are a few pictures from Christmas this year....
So, yes, this picture is a little cheesy, but also so cute.
This has been the year of Legos in the Ferguson house. Both Grant and Sophia love to build with them. I love to watch them play together and to see what they have built, however I do hate stepping on those darn blocks when walking barefooted through the living room.
Sophia bought Lillian this hat because she was sure it would make Lillian look like Taylor Swift.
