Home again.

Apparently if you want to know what is going on with the Fergusons these days you need to pray for a snow day, as that's the only time I seem to be updating the blog. So we're home again and here I am.

Adjusting to two parents working outside of the home has been a challenge, but things are becoming routine for us. The promise of a slower pace of life this summer is sustaining us--not to mention that we all have the same full week off for Spring Break in a few weeks.

Here are some pictures that we have taken over the last few weeks:

Sophia got a Valentine that had a princess crown in it. She is very much into princesses these days, so it was just her style.

A rare moment when Grant was willing to indulge Sophia in her princess play and had a tea part with her. The crown's they are wearing here are from Grant's school. A couple of weeks ago Grant's class celebrated the 100th day of school and made 100 Day hats (Sophia is wearing it here). Grant wore his hat the whole day at school and then forgot to bring it home. He found it when he got to school the next day and wore it all day again! Grant love the 100th Day celebration . . . they counted all day, and if you know Grant very well, you know he's a man who loves his numbers. Grant is wearing the hat that his teacher gave him to celebrate his 5 1/2 birthday. Since he has a summer birthday he got to take treats to his class on his 1/2 birthday. He is now sure to tell people who ask that he is 5 and one half years old. Don't you remember those days?

Painting. We love to paint.

I'm not sure what he was thinking here, but he came up with this "costume" on his own and was quite proud of it.

This is Sophia pouting about something. (Aren't I a great mom for posting this?) Seriously, I am truly afraid. If a girl's tendency towards drama tends to increase as she nears the pre-teen years, we are definitely in trouble. Or perhaps I should feel hopful . . . she'll be three in a couple of weeks so the terrible two's are almost over, right? Those of you with three year old daughters, everything gets better when the third birthday hits, right?

Fortunatly Sophia can often be coaxed out of her pouting.

Yep. It was all about the drama.
