Summer do . . .

We're counting down the days. Right now I'm at 14 and one half days, Travis is at 13 days, Grant is at 15 and one half days, and Sophia is at 13 days. That's how many school days we all have left until life gets a little easier. We're almost there.

Grant is quite proud of his new tree climbing skills. We have three trees in our yard that are "climbable" for a five year old. You would not believe how proud he is that he can climb the tree all by himself. (Mom, does this picture remind you of the one you have of me in that tree in Florida?)

Travis decided that he was ready for his summer hairdo--cheap and easy. Grant and Sophia were thrilled that Daddy let them help cut his hair. Don't worry, we explained very carefully that this was a special deal and that under no circumstances are they to cut anyone else's hair. (Who thinks that is going to work?) Regardless, Travis is a great sport and the kids had a great time helping.

Not only is it a cheap haircut, it's cheap entertainment!

In other news . . .

Travis has a new job for next year!! He is going to be teaching middle school Special Education in Liberty! His new school is less than a mile from our house--this is amazing considering that he has been driving 40 minutes each way this year. Travis is sad to be leaving his current students and co-workers, but we are both thrilled that he will be teaching in the same district that our kids are in (not to mention a significant hike in pay!).
