You are the sunshine of my life . . .

Sophia has a new skill . . . Impersonating Stevie Wonder. She has recently found the same love for books that her brother has. Reading is now her favorite way to entertain herself and to spend time with mommy and daddy. Her favorite book is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin, Jr. The book is rhythmic and repetitive and is therefore easy for a 14 month old to love. Whenever we start reading the book, Sophia breaks into this happy little dance, swaying back and forth--very similar to the moves of Stevie Wonder. It's very cute.

Grant's newest love is a Veggietales movie about Joshua and the battle of Jericho. The movie has a song called "We're Going to the Promised Land." The other day when I got Grant off his school bus he gave me a big hug, smiled, and said proudly, "I'm going to the Promised Land!" If only we could all be so enthusiastic about our destiny!
