Weenie Roast . . .

With the warmer weather come trips to the farm. Our kids love any opportunity to visit Grandma and Grandpa Ferguson's farm. They love to play in the rocks and dirt, ride on the tractors with Grandpa, pretend to drive the tractors, explore the shed, and ride through the fields in Grandpa's pick-up. This week we took a trip to the farm for a weenie roast. The kids had a blast. Both kids loved the "camp fire", although Sophia wasn't a fan of the smoke. Like a true boy, Grant was thrilled that he got to help put things into the fire. (Don't worry, Daddy kept a very close eye on him.) Grant helped Grandpa find sticks to put in the fire.

Uncle Steve helped Grant roast a hot dog. Grant must have worked up an appetite tending the fire, because he ate the whole thing!

Sophia enjoyed watching the campfire from a distance, sitting on the laps of people who love her. She also enjoyed sitting in the grown-up lawn chairs.

Sophia also liked sitting in the back of the truck and helping Grandma and Grandpa get dinner ready.
