Celebrating Grant . . .

Having been to several fun birthday parties this year, I thought Grant might want to have a party with friends to celebrate his birthday this year. When I asked him about it he told me that he just wanted a new stuffed animal and to have Grandpa Owens spray him with the hose while Grant jumped on his trampoline. That's easy enough. So, to celebrate Grant's birthday, I took him to Build-A-Bear and we had Grandma and Grandpa Owens over for lunch and cake (and to have Grandpa spray him with the hose).

This is Grant at Build-A-Bear. He chose a litte black dog and decided to put a little voice box in so the dog can bark.

Grant and his new friend, Hopper.

After we finished up at Build-A-Bear, I offered to take Grant and Hopper out for ice cream. As we walked to the ice cream shop, Grant told me that he and Hopper needed to walk by themselves. This picture is of my little man being too grown up to walk with his mommy.

Grant and Hopper decided it would be OK to sit with mom once she bought the ice cream.

Here's Grant enjoying his birthday wish! Grandpa is a good sport.

Sophia enjoyed swimming in the little pool during Grant's party.

Sophia ready to eat cake.

Blowing out the candles! Grant decided he wanted to have everyone yell "Surprise" rather than sing Happy Birthday. He was the birthday boy so his wish was our command.

Hopper joined in the fun and yelled "Surprise!" for Grant.

Opening presents!

Giving Sophia a hug to say "Thank You" for the gift she picked out.

Brandon, Misty, Kyla, and Casey, Sophia was so excited to have the card and stickers to open! Thanks for including her!

Here is Grant "helping" Daddy put together one of his presents.

Hopper actually looks like he's begging for a bite of ice cream in the picture where Grant's eating it!

Yeah, turns out Hopper is quite a handful.
